all u can eat staging

A two-week intensive for continuing students will move beyond our basic training, teaching cutting-edge techniques in contemporary theater, and helping you harness them for your own work. Our exploration will stretch your notions of how stories can be told on stage, and allow you to unlock new areas of creativity in your bodies and minds. The program brings together many of the styles and forms which we have carefully integrated into our powerful and liberating approach to creation, including Viewpoints, Suzuki, Buffoonery, structured improvisation, vocal training, writing exercises, and more.

Pre-requisite:

To enroll you must take the Introduction to Physical and Vocal Techniques course OR have taken previous workshops in the Viewpoints and Suzuki techniques (such as the foolsFURY-hosted workshops with the SITI company, or the foolsFURY summer intensive in previous years). For questions about these requirements, please contact Debórah Eliezer, deborahe@foolsfury.org

PORT OUT STARBOARD HOME (POSH), a new collaboration between foolsFURY and red-hot playwright Sheila Callaghan, is a theatrical spectacle set on a luxury cruise liner, where a mysterious and disturbing ritual occurs. Exploring the fine line between luxury and decadence in contemporary American consumer culture, the relationship between public persona and private self that must be navigated in both the rarified space of the cruise vacation and in our daily lives, and how we deal with others when thrown into temporary community with them, POSH is a  disturbing and unforgettable cruise over the deepest parts of the human psyche.
