Building Blocks for Devised Work: The UMO Ensemble Method

UMO shares the building blocks of their method of devising physical ensemble theater developed over the last 27 years. This two day workshop includes food, lodging and overnight camping or room upgrades in beautiful Sonoma County. Whether you’re a seasoned performer looking to expand and refresh their own skills or an emerging artist looking to fill their artistic toolbox, this workshop will get your juices flowing.

Del Juego al Teatro: Acrobatic Theatre Games in Service of Storytelling

A FREE, intergenerational workshop by guest artist Carlos Casas of Pélu Theatre. Suitable for all bodies ages 8 and up—kids and parents encouraged to attend together! Este taller se impartirá en español e inglés (This workshop will be taught in both Spanish and English). In this workshop we will explore the foundational elements of an action/gesture based theatre, focusing on elements of partner acrobatics and image embodiment, as we look to create visually compelling physical and socially conscious stories. No previous experience necessary, in fact, a varied range in skills, bodies, ages and talents would enhance our experience as we will thrive in the uniqueness of the group at hand. Dress for movement.
