As artists, we are trained to be nimble and resilient with our given circumstances. We are incredibly fortunate to have retained all our staff and continued programming during the pandemic.

But we’ll be honest - we need and rely on your support.

Our survival in 2021 depends on you supporting our work and our artists. All donations, purchases, class fees, and ticketing support our programming, pay our artists, and ensure operational viability. We do not want money to be an obstacle for folks to experience art.

To combat the financial hardship of COVID-19, and build towards our future, we ask that if you have any financial resources to share, to make a donation to support our programs and keep our artists employed.

what your support means

Without community there is no theater. You are a part of our success, and our future plans. We know it’s a clicheé, but hey, it really does take a village for us to do what we do!

Here’s what we’ve been able to do during a pandemic with the generous support of our community in 2020:

  • Produced and streamed BUILD From Here: The Future of Ensemble Theater, a multi-platform online conference, to over 3,000 viewers from all over the United States and across the globe. (in partnership with Howlround!)

  • Paid over 65 ensemble artists and companies to cultivate and develop new works

  • In collaboration with LMDA, developed over 17 multimedia digital dramaturgical works that we call “Microturgy.”

  • Hosted a 6-week anti-racist learning circle

PROGRAM IMPACT

While we are investigating ways to make art safely together both physically and digitally, we are excited by the opportunity to reach more folks than ever before.  Expanded programs and new performances include:

  • The Library Project  a major new immersive theatrical experience in collaboration with playwright Katie Pearl, premiering 2021/22

  • Blueprint: Ensemble Liberation Lab--driving new models of training and equitable collaboration

  • The Early Career Leadership Initiative--paid fellowships and youth advisors to our board

ARTIST TRAINING

Your partnership enable us to continue to:

  • Build a community and network of artists, theatermakers, educators and cultural workers.

  • Maintain a supportive community of allyship for people of all abilities, races, ethnicities, ages, sexual orientations, and gender identities.

  • Cultivate the next generation of artists at all levels

CELEBRATION PROVOCATION

Celebration Provocation is our annual fundraiser and celebration to bring together the artists, audiences, and supporters of foolsFURY to toast the accomplishments of the year, and get a sneak preview of upcoming projects. Each year we hold a Reading Roulette, a mad gab style of theater making where we pair 6 writers with a team of volunteer actors from the night to act out 2 minute “micro-plays.” It is a fun and brave space for theater enthusiasts to explore and partake in our art making.

CROWDFUNDed support

To help launch our new programs, shows, or projects, we often hold project-specific fundraising campaigns that you can support and receive amazing perks as a token of our appreciation! We are currently not running any campaigns at the moment.
